Based in El Chaltén for 12-weeks, participants will have the opportunity to embrace the endless glaciers within Los Glaciares National Park and the towering peaks including Fitz Roy while advancing their hiking and rock climbing skills. With a unique structure of alternating weeks between rock climbing and hiking, along with a comprehensive outdoor first aid course, this program offers a well-rounded adventure travel and outdoor education experience.
You'll be guided by expert in-country IFMGA program instructors as you travel through remote landscapes in Patagonia and navigate new challenges. Experience amazing rock climbing routes and world-famous hiking trails, while participating in cultural activities like horse riding and traditional Argentine BBQs.
The last week of the program will see you putting your new skills to the test as you navigate Marconi Glacier and practice basic mountaineering techniques. The goal of the program is to equip students with the skills and knowledge needed to work as outdoor guides, emphasising hiking, rock climbing and mountaineering. Through a focus on outdoor education and adventure travel, participants will not only gain practical skills but also develop a deep appreciation for the natural world and the thrill of exploration.

Program Testimonial
"Week after week I was faced with challenges I had never dreamed of taking on prior. With some help from my supportive peers I realised I achieved a lot of personal growth by the final week. Too much to begin to narrow down. And the things I got to experience, WOW! Thank you."
