A Pure Exploration scholarship recipient is someone who is driven by adventure, a love for the outdoors and a desire to get out of their comfort zones. We’re looking for individuals who dream big and are passionate about gaining outdoor skills and experiences that will transform their lives. As a scholarship winner, you’ll have the opportunity to take your passion to the next level by participating in one of our programs, immersing yourself in new cultures, and developing your leadership skills, all while sharing your journey with others to inspire and motivate.

New Zealand Citizen Scholarship: For a New Zealand citizen ready to embrace adventure.
Value: Up to USD $5000.
Career Transition Scholarship: For someone looking to change their career and pivot into the outdoor adventure industry.
Value: Up to USD $5000
First Step Scholarship: Designed for an 18-year-old eager to start their first overseas travel adventure.
Value: Up to USD $5000
Become A Guide Scholarship: For the outdoor enthusiast who’s dreaming of becoming a professional guide.
Value: Up to USD $5000
Adventure Access Grant: Financial aid for those who need a little extra support to embark on their journey.

Scholarship Details:
We offer a variety of scholarships each year—they could be a full or partial scholarship amount.
Our program intakes are in January, February, September or October.
Each scholarship is valued at up to USD $5,000 (however you may be awarded a partial scholarship if there is more than one worthy recipient) which will be directly applied to reduce your program cost. This is a great opportunity to make your adventure with Pure Exploration more affordable and accessible!
Our current 2025 scholarships are closed, our 2026 scholarship applications open in September. You're welcome to apply for as many scholarships as you like.

Scholarship Terms and Conditions: Eligibility Requirements: Scholarships are only valid for programs starting in 2026. Scholarship recipients must complete the program they were awarded for and cannot transfer to another program. Payment Terms: Scholarship recipients must pay the remaining balance of their program fee within 30 days of the program's commencement date. Good Scholarship Standing: Recipients are expected to actively engage, participate fully, and positively represent Pure Exploration during their program. Content and Promotion: Recipients may be asked to share content (photos, videos, testimonials) that can be used by Pure Exploration for promotional purposes. Termination Clause: Pure Exploration reserves the right to revoke the scholarship if the recipient fails to meet these terms, displays inappropriate behaviour, or does not uphold a positive representation of the program and brand. Non-Transferable: Scholarships are awarded to specific individuals and cannot be transferred to others or applied to different programs. Financial Responsibility: Flights, insurance, and additional travel costs are not covered by the scholarship. These terms aim to ensure that scholarship recipients have a successful and fulfilling experience while maintaining a high standard of engagement and representation for Pure Exploration.
